Back at work after a few disconnected days I found that my mind was full of great ideas, insight, and creativity. This quickly prompted me to think that these offline days need to become more of a habit. Sounds cliche and obvious, but it finally hit me that doing this increases productivity and overall focus, because I experienced it!
A few days a month re-connecting with things that I have lost so much touch of; Water, grass, walking, exploration, writing, painting, riding with absolutely no purpose in mind, and anything that is directly web/computer related. I truly believe that this will give me renewed energy, focus and purpose. Not to mention loads of inspiration.
Building new things, growing current projects, and the desire to succeed are all great, but there comes a time when everyone needs to shut down and reconnect with the things, and people that matter, whatever those may be. Wow I think I just pulled a Rev Run on that last paragraph, my apologies in advance.
I leave you with one of my favorite tunes, Ra Ra Riot - Dying is fine.
